Dale Elton Davidson
Dale Elton Davidson, 86, Joplin, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Nevada Nursing and Rehab, in Nevada. He was born June 14, 1928, in Joplin, Mo., to Lester Orel and Ethel Mina (Stansbury) Davidson. Dale was united in marriage to Geneva Mae Smith on July 27, 1947, in Joplin, Mo., and she survives of the home.
Dale was raised in Joplin and attended Joplin High School. He worked various jobs for several years before being drafted into the United States Army in 1951. During the Korean War, Dale was stationed in Germany, serving from 1951 until 1953. At that time he returned to Joplin and began working with Myers, Baker, Rife and Denham Accounting Firm, in Webb City, Mo., retiring after 40 years. Dale was a member of the Joplin Elks BPO No. 501.
In addition to his wife, Geneva, he is survived by one daughter, Linda Davidson, Nevada; one son, Mark Davidson and his wife, Laura, O'Fallon, Mo.; three granddaughters, Richelle Davidson, Jenna Davidson and Krista Davidson; and one sister, Audie Leigh Crawford, Tucson, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Fern Robinson.
A committal service will be held at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, in Joplin, Mo., at a later date.
