Nevada JV boys pick up road victory

Tuesday, February 10, 2015

The Nevada junior varsity boys basketball team defeated the O'Hara Celtics 54-38 Friday evening in Kansas City.

"They have a very good player who was killing us in the first half," Nevada head coach Kyle Talley said. "The kids decided at half that they were going to no longer allow him to do so. Myles (McNeley) was able to hit some three's off of set plays. And our bigs hurt them inside by being active and aggressive."

For Nevada, McNeley scored a team-high 14 points, while Derek O'Dell and center Patrick Ferry chipped in with 10 apiece.

The junior varsity team next travels to Warrensburg, Friday.
