Bronaugh fifth-and sixth graders close out season

The Bronaugh Lady Wildcats fifth and sixth-grade basketball team closed out its season with a 20-6 home victory over Northeast Vernon County, Wednesday night at Bronaugh.

The Lady Wildcats finished the season 8-1, with their only loss coming to Nevada.

Bronaugh was led by Haley Byram and Nicole Hagerman, each scoring six points apiece, while Bailey Cliffman and Emma Morris chipped in with four points each.

Boys game

The Bronaugh fifth and sixth-grade boys fell to NEVC 47-31, Wednesday at home.

For NEVC, 95 percent of its offensive production came from one player, Dayton Davis, who scored 45 points.

Bronaugh's Kyle Harrel scored a team-high 16 points, while J.R. Stratford added seven. Rounding out the Wildcats scoring, Garrett Earnest and John Million scored four points each.
