Tigers drop four in a row at O'Dell tournament

After rolling out to a 5-1 start to open the season, the Nevada Tigers were swept at the Bill O'Dell Tournament in Carthage last week, losing all four games on their week-long slate.

The Tigers (5-5) most recent loss came Friday afternoon to the Carl Junction Bulldogs, in the tournament's fifth-place game, as Nevada was blanked 8-0.

The Bulldogs pounded out 11 hits, scoring four runs in the top of the third inning, and four in the top of the fifth inning.

The Tigers came away with four hits, while being charged with two errors.

Next up

Weather permitting, the Tigers are scheduled to hit the road to face Joplin High School, today.

Upon returning home, Nevada is slated to host Sedalia Smith-Cotton, late Friday afternoon at Lyons Stadium.
