Nevada girls win Mt. Vernon track meet

Mt. Vernon ---- The Nevada Tigers girls track and field team finished in first place at Friday's 10-school track and field meet in Mt. Vernon.

In addition to Nevada and Mt. Vernon, other schools competing, were: Stratford, Crane, Clever, Aurora, Seneca, Monett, Reeds Spring, and Verona.

The Nevada girls finished with 109 points, while Aurora claimed second with 86 points. On the boys side, NHS finished in third-place with 63 points.

According to NHS assistant track coach Marsha Hooper, this was the first track event hosted by Mt. Vernon since 1987.

* Brooklynn Vincent, first-place in discus, 104-feet, 6-inches; first-place in shot put, 36-feet, 11-inches.

* Regan Bradley, first-place in 100 meter dash, 12.75; first-place in 200 meter dash, 26.78.

* Taylor Manes, first-place in 100-yard dash; 10.72.

* Carsten Warner, first-place in long jump, 15-feet, 11-inches; second-place in 100 meter dash.

* Bradley, Warner, Jansen Miller, and Mindy Hendren, first-place in girls 4-by-200 relay, 1:51.71; first-place in the 4-by-100 relay.

* Manes, Chaden Brant, Michael Brown, and Ryan Ferris, first-place in boys 4-by-200 relay; 1.33.12.

* Brandt, second-place in 100 meter dash; 10.79.

* Manes, Brandt, Brown, and Ferris, second-place in 4-by-100 meter relay, 44.56; second-place in 4-by-200 relay.

* Zane Shephard, third-place in high jump.

* Tate Morgan, third-place in discus; 112-feet, 8-inches.

* Tiffany McGraw, third-place in pole vault, 8-feet.

* Danielle Laning, third-place in discus, 83-feet, 6-inches.

* Manes, Ferris, Brown, and Ben Sommer, third-place in boys 4-by-400 relay; 3:37.75.

* Trevor Householder, Austin McGriff, Alex Richards, and Brooklynn Vincent, third-place in throwers 4-by-100.

* Ally Shumaker, fourth-place in 300 hurdles.

* Hendren, fourth-place in long jump.

* Trevor Householder, fifth-place in shot put.

* Trevor Olsen, fifth-place in 110 hurdles.

* Alexis Overton, fifth-place in 100 hurdles; sixth-place in 300 hurdles.

* Thomas Prewitt, fifth-place in pole vault.
