Hold puts finishing touches on sophomore season

Submitted photo/ Morgan Hold placed eighth in the men's pole vault at the NCAA Division II Championships May 23 at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich. Hold vaulted 16-feet, 6 and 3/4 quarter-inches. Hold had an excellent season for the Missouri Southern State University track and field team, as he entered the championship event ranked 11th in the county in Division II pole vault. Hold's vault of 16-feet, 8-inches at the Missouri Southern State University Twilight Invitational May 8 at Fred G. Hughes Stadium not only marked his personal best, but also won the event. Hold was a 2013 graduate of Nevada High School who will be entering his junior year at Missouri Southern State University. Hold was a Missouri Class 3 state runner-up in the pole vault while at NHS. In addition, he owns the NHS pole vault record.
