Lady Tigers tennis falls in close battle with St. Pius X

The Nevada Lady Tigers tennis team suffered a tough 6-3 road defeat to St. Pius X, Thursday evening.

Singles matches

For Nevada at No. 1, Megan Payne fell to Kaitlyn Pittala 8-0.

Nevada No. 2 Emma Cheaney, was edged by Amy Kallenburger 9-7.

Lady Tigers No. 3 Ellie Pruitt, was defeated 8-4 by Erin Balint.

Nevada No. 4 Erika Watanabe tumbled to Madeline Johannes 8-1.

Sydnie Baker checking in at No. 5 for Nevada, lost a tight 8-6 against Abigail Tomes.

Nevada's No. 6, Jaiden Cherry, doubled up Ha Lunn 8-4

Doubles play

Nevada's No. 1 team, Payne and Cheaney handed Pittala and Balint an extra set defeat, 8-8, (7-4).

Pruitt and Baker were beat by Kallenburgera and Lunn 8-2.

And at No. 3, Watanabe and Cherry cruised to an 8-4 victory over Johannes/Tomes.
