Nevada Council meets Monday night

The Nevada City Council will be considering the first reading of a contract with Horner & Shifrin, St. Louis, for engineering consultation services related to the city's wastewater pretreatment program update, during its meeting at 7 p.m., Monday in the council chambers, 120 S. Ash Street.

The council will also be considering a liquor license application for Missouri Eagle LLC to operate as a wholesale/warehouse place of business.

Other items under consideration are the re-appointment of Monte Curtis, Scott Buerge and Mike Farran to the airport board. Their terms will expire in January 2020.

The council will also consider bids for pour-in-place playground surfacing and the final readings of ordinance accepting the street, water main and sewer main and agreeing to maintain them in the Atlantic Estates Subdivision, as well as an ordinance amending the city's personnel code and accepting the proposal by Purple Wave Inc., to provide Internet based auction services.
