Financial literacy hosted by NRTC DECA
The NRTC DECA Financial Literacy team will be hosting a "Debt Crashers...Your Financial Freedom" special event Jan. 11 in the NHS Performing Arts Center.
The purpose of this event is to help students develop personal financial literacy skills as they prepare for life after high school.
The NHS Counseling Department and local banks will have displays in the lobby beginning at 6 p.m. Two guest speakers will begin presentations at 6:30 in the auditorium. Speakers for the event will be Justin Osburn, C.O.O. of Max Motors; and Doug Scotten, family financial education specialist with the University of Missouri Extension.
All area parents and students are invited.
DECA Financial Literacy team leaders are Heaven Farmer, Brooklyn Sargent and Janna Scotten. NRTC-DECA advisor is Martha Cubbage.
