Felony warrants have been issued for three people after a deputy responded to a call of "suspicious activity" at a residence just outside of Sheldon.

According to Vernon County Sheriff's Office officials, a deputy arrived at the residence and detained two people. A short time later, a deputy clearing the residence found a third person hiding in a closet.

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said items were recovered that are believed to have been taken from the residence and that suspected methamphetamines were also recovered during the arrest.

"The deputy did an excellent job responding to the call and searching the residence and I'm glad we were able to apprehend the suspects without anyone getting hurt," said Mosher.

According to court records, Tracy Byrum, 28, of Sheldon, has been charged with second degree burglary, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia with total bonds of $11,000 cash only.

Kassaundra D. Pointer, 21, of Sheldon, and Harry W. Middleton, 27, of Sheldon, were both charged with second degree burglary, and have bonds of $15,000 cash each.
