FBLA collecting donations for troops

Future Business Leaders of America members Savannah Woody, Allison Shumaker, and Chloe Bartlett are doing a community project to help our troops by making care packages.

They have adopted 15 deployed Missouri troop members. The donation period runs through Jan. 22.

If you wish to donate please bring hygiene supplies such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo and conditioner, chap stick with sunscreen, moisture eye drops, pocket size hand sanitizer, shaving cream, disposable razors, toilet paper, cough drops, nail clippers, vitamins, unscented baby wipes, body wash, or sunblock.

You may also bring snack food such as sunflower seeds, nuts and trail mix, cereal bars and granola bars, Ramen noodles, turkey or beef jerky, Little Debbie cosmic brownies, Pop Tarts, Gatorade mixes, water flavoring packets, hard candy and gum, coffee or hot chocolate, coffee creamer, microwave popcorn, Pringles, or peanut butter.

Drop off locations are Nevada Regional Technical Center, Nevada High School, Nevada Middle School, Metz Bank, First Christian Church, Nevada Community Center, and the Vernon County Court House.
