Miller ties Stiles career wins record

Adding another accolade to his already decorated prep career, Nevada High School senior Dayton Miller notched his 176th career wrestling victory, tying former standout Slade Stiles atop the NHS record book for most career wins.
Stiles graduated in 2013. A year previous to Stiles, Tanner Charles held the record with 143 career victories.
Miller's pin of Buffalo's Cody Gruber came just 35 seconds into the first period.
"It was a fun experience tonight," eighth-year Nevada wrestling coach Devin White said. "Dayton has developed into a great individual."
Miller has had a storied wresting career at NHS, finishing fifth in the state tournament as a freshman at 106 pounds, followed by back-to-back state runner-up finishes in 2014 and '15. Miller wrestled at 113 pounds in '14 and 120 pounds last season.
White said Miller has reached his lofty goals primarily through hard work and dedication. Miller has a career record of 176-16.
"He's put in a lot of miles over the summer traveling to camps and clinics," White said. "He continually strives to get better. He's one of the most talented kids I've ever coached."
With several tournaments remaining, Miller has ample opportunity to break Stiles record.
As a team however, the Tigers fell to Buffalo on Matwarming night 45-31.
