7th-grade Tigers up record to 12-0, claim TCC regular season title

The Nevada Tigers seventh-grade basketball team hammered Joplin North 48-20 Thursday night at home, capturing the Tri-County Conference regular-season championship. The victory improves the Tigers to 12-0 overall.

Point guard Logan Applegate led the way for Nevada, scoring a game-high 14 points.

The Nevada Tigers B-team fell 51-20. Blake Pryor scored a team-high seven points. The B-team finished the regular-season 2-7 overall.

After earning the No. 1 seed at next week's Tri-County Tournament, the Tigers will face Neosho in the opening-round, Monday.
