The Nevada Tigers eighth-grade A-team had a busy week, falling to Carl Junction 37-35 Monday on the road, and then topping Neosho 54-43 on the road Tuesday, followed by a resounding 66-20 victory over Joplin North in the team's home-finale Thursday night. The Tigers B-team defeated Joplin North 29-23, as Zander Bough led the team in scoring with nine points.
Against Joplin North, Nevada was led by Dalton Gayman, who poured in a career-high 35 points while pulling down 22 rebounds. Austin Bash chipped in with 18 points.
Against Neoasho, Bash led the way with a career-high 30 points, while Gayman recorded a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Matt Thorpe chipped in 9 points.
The Tigers B-team fell to Neosho 46-31, as Grant Miller scored a team-high 14 points.
The fifth-seeded Tigers next face No. 4 seed Carl Junction in the the opening-round of the season-ending Tri-County Tournament, Monday at Joplin North.
