Bronaugh Fire Department will be hosting their annual dinner today at the City Hall in Bronaugh from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m..

Dinner will consist of pulled pork, beans, cabbage, slice potatoes, dessert, and a drink. Bronaugh F.D. is asking for donations in place of a set price for the meal. This is also an opportunity for area residents to pay for their annual fire tags.

Chief Kael Zoglmann said that the department is raising money not only to help with operating costs like fuel and insurance, but to help replace firefighter personal protective equipment, commonly called bunker gear, and to outfit a newer tanker and brush truck.

Zoglmann said that the annual dinner draws about 400 people. He said the fire department has a lot of younger members who are eager to make the department better.
