Solid turnout for Presidential Preference Primary

"Some years, by the time Missouri's primary comes around it's really all over," said Vermon County clerk, Mike Buehler.
"But this year," noted chief deputy clerk, Erica Drake, "we had solid interest in absentee ballots -- just under 300 -- and decent turnout on election day."
Out of a total of 10,738 registered voters in Vernon Counthy, 4,201 voted in this election which is a 39.3 percent turnout.
"That's a significant jump from four years ago," noted county election clerk Lindsey Cooksey.
