Richard Lee Taylor, 69, Walker, Mo., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Richard was born on Feb. 23, 1947, in Appleton City, Mo., to James Goldman Taylor and Gladys Delsie Taylor. He married Tina Teo Sapini Sua on May 24, 1997, in Golden City, Mo., and she survives of the home.

Richard grew up in Appleton City and graduated with the Appleton City High School Class of 1966. He worked for the Shoe Factory, Witt Printing and SECOMO Manufacturing in El Dorado Springs, Mo., then O'Sullivan Industries in Lamar, Mo., until his retirement. He was president of the Wind Riders Motorcycle Group for the past 15 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include four children, Jeff Taylor and his wife, Kristina, Walker, Kristi Farrell and her husband, Mark, Ashland, Mo., Tammy Martinez and her husband, Larry, Nevada and Ricco Sua, Nevada; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenny Taylor, Appleton City; three sisters, Elsie Brenton, Harrisonville, Mo., and Geneva Smith, Appleton City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Taylor; and two sisters, Woneta Nichols and Betty Francis.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, April 9, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Pastor Jeff Pickle officiating. Committal will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Rockville, Mo. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home and the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.
