NMS track-and-field finds success at Carthage meet

Nevada Middle School participated at a track-and-field meet hosted by Carthage April 5. Clarification: The below results appeared in Friday's edition of the Daily Mail as the Nevada Middle School Invitational results.

NMS 8th-grade boys

* High jump: Kolby O'Connell, fourth-place (5' 4").

* Long jump: Colin Witte fourth-place (16' 10"); O'Connell, fifth-place (16' 10").

* 400-meter relay: O'Connell, Witte, Jacob Chadd, and Austin Bash, sixth-place, 50.80.

NMS 8th-grade girls

* High jump: Hailee Lundine, fifth-place (4' 2").

* Pole vault: Morgan Smith, first-place (7-feet).

* Triple jump: Lindley Ferry, third-place, (29' 2").

* Long jump: Teagan Charles, fourth-place (13' 6"); Hailee Lundine, fifth-place (13' 6").

* Discus: Jordyn Ropelato, first-place, (84' 4").

* 1600-meter run: Calli Beshore, first-place, 5:44.9 (Personal Record).

* 400-meter relay: Teagan Charles, Calli Beshore, Zoie Farmer, and Madalyn Koenig, fourth-place (58.00).

7th-grade boys

* High jump: Ben Hines first-place (5' 2"); Logan Applegate, third-place, (4' 8").

* Pole vault: Eric Mason, second-place (7-feet); John Blouser third-place (6' 6").

* Triple jump: Ben Hines, first-place (33' 11"); Applegate, third-place (32' 9").

* Long jump: Ben Hines, first-place (17' 4").

* 100-meter dash, Kaden Denney, fourth-place, 13.20.

* 800-meter relay Kaden Denney, Noah Beshore, Treytin Moore, and Eric Mason, fifth-place, 1:57.7.

* 400m relay: Kaden Denney, Logan Applegate,Treytin Moore, Ben Hines, 55.60.

7th-grade girls

* High Jump: Jaden Wiggans, sixth-place (3' 10").

* Triple jump: Brianna Ream, fifth-place (26' 8").

* Shot put: Tylin Heathman, third-place (26' 8").

* 100-meter hurdles: Heathman, second-place, 19.50.

* 100-meter dash: Laney Coons, fourth-place (14.00).

* 800-meter relay: Maleigha Hinton, Jaden Wiggans, Brianna Ream, and Jaci Servos, sixth-place, 2:12.7.

* 400-meter relay: Hallie Bond, Blair Wilson, Tylin Heathman, and Laney Coons, second-place, 58.4.
