Middle Age Plus Minus

Friday, May 6, 2016

It is with regret I inform my readers this will be my last Middle Age Plus column. Due to my health limitations, I am no longer able to maintain the level I have tried to maintain in my writing. Coordination of eyes, fingers and thoughts has become more difficult.

My appreciation for your response to me has been a real source of joy in so many ways. Each thank you, each particular comment about something I wrote that has touched some point in your life and brought joy, chuckles, a laugh out loud moment, or a memory that has special meaning for you has given me pleasure. It has amazed me through the years at the number of persons who have called on the phone, recognized me at some contact point, or have responded in a personal note or comment.

Also. My appreciation for the entire Nevada Daily Mail organization has given me opportunity to express ideas, expand my personal experiences and be in touch with you as individuals in each issue. Staff members have been most helpful, have tolerated my mistakes, and have been responsible for maintaining the quality the paper and readers deserve.

I am pleased to let you know the paper has agreed some of my past columns will be reprinted and published on an ongoing basis. Present plans are to begin this venture in next Friday's issue.
