Knights of Columbus to host three-person golf tourney

Nevada's Knights of Columbus Council No. 855 is slated to host its 15th annual three-person golf tournament, June 18 at Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course. According to a Knights of Columbus press release, the one-day tournament is open to all men and women golfers.

The format is set up as a three-person scrabble. Additionally, a closest to the pin contest will take place on each of the four par-3 holes. The longest drive a contest will be held on hole No. 10. The press release states that range balls and drawings for prizes are included with the entry fee. The tournament's senior flight is for ages 65-and-up. The release specifies that participants have to be at least 65 years of age on the day of the tournament. In addition, skins game will a part of the senior flight competition.

"Money raised from the tournament goes toward organization and activities the Knights support such as Cedar Ridge PTO , Special Olympics, Nevada T-ball, THe McGennis Youth Center, and Habitat for Hummanity," the release said.
