Floored: NEVC Knights unveil new gymnasium hardwood

"It's 14 feet in diameter," said Charles Naas, NEVC superintendent standing in the center of the new NEVC Knights logo.

After allowing time to cure, Monday saw the unsealing of the gym doors to reveal new flooring, painting and sealing by Acme Flooring of Lenexa, Kan.

"We replaced damaged boards and fixed problem spots on the floor," said Naas. "The project cost about $16,500 and just over 80 percent of it was raised by the NEVC booster club. That was a lot of hot dogs, hamburgers and effort. I am grateful to so many and we are NEVC proud!"
