With Nevada hosting its 52 Annual Bushwhacker Days over the weekend, Brantlee Gotschall did a little bushwhacking of his own. After starting from the fifth position, the Nevada native went on to win his heat race earning him Late Model pole position.

Gotschall took full advantage as he led wire-to-wire en route to capturing the $1,500 Bushwhacker special prize while notching his second victory of the season. Making the trip from Lincoln, Ark., Camden Perry placed second while points leader Dustin Mooneyham of Verona, slotted into third-place.

Making his first appearance of the season, Billy Humble of Rich Hill, passed Nathan Mayes of Springdale Ark., rounding out the top five finish.

Street Stocks

With this being the fourth race of the season, a fourth driver found victory lane in the Street Stock feature. John Romesburg of Seneca, made a clean sweep after starting in the front row in the feature. After battling with Bob Barnett of Republic, Larry Ferris of Kansas City wound up stealing second place from Barnett. Fourth place would go to Mike Bitner of Frontenac, while Jeremy Willard of Blue Mound, Kan., finished fifth, in his first start to the season.

Midwest Mods

A dominant season is all that can be said about Rob Muilenburg's race status this year. Muilenburg of Sparta, picked up his third victory after starting on the pole for the feature. Track points leader Devin Crockett of Lamar cruised into second-place, his original starting spot.

Jerry Brown of Prescott, Kan., battled with Kyle Lafferty of Sparta, with Brown eventually securing third-place while Lafferty settled for fourth. Weekly competitor Robbie Sullins of Butler slid into fifth.

B-Mods

A new face emerged in victory lane as Springfield's Michael Maggard paid the track a visit. Maggard however, was pressured from weekly competitors as Tim Phillips of Fort Scott coasted into second after unsuccessfully attempting to reel in Maggard.

Steve Johnson of Joplin, made his way up to third-place, while Jerry Morgan of Fort Scott recorded a fourth-place finish. The man on the move, Tyler Kidwell of Chanute, finished fifth after starting 10th. Kidwell is the current points leader of the B-Mod class.

Pure Stocks

Scoring his first win of the season, Eric Atwood of Fort Scott, never looked back at the competition. Last week's big winner, Tyler Schoen of Halfway, finished a strong second, while Nevada's Jaren Powrie netted a third-place finish. Turning in his best run of the season, Keith Bradley of Fort Scott, came away with fifth-place.
