3M landfill closure underway

Work to close and cap the special waste landfill on 3M property began last week with the start of the removal of the top soil. Work on the 38-acre site is scheduled run to Monday through Saturday, weather permitting. When work is fully underway, hundreds of trucks loaded with fill dirt will be traveling East Division daily to access the construciton site. Drivers should find an alternate route.
