Neptunes capture triangular swim meet in Lamar

The Nevada Neptunes swim team continued its winning ways, emerging in first place at a swim triangular held July 6 at Lamar Aquatic Park.

The Tiger Sharks of Lamar were joined by the Neptunes and Monett Waterthrashers. The midweek meet was attended by 76 swimmers ---- 32 from Nevada, 30 from Lamar, and 14 from Monett. The two-hour event wrapped with the Neptunes tallying 484 team points, Lamar 436, and Monett 167.

Tri-State Invitational

After winning the Lamar triangular, the Neptunes then hit the Branson AquaPlex, competing in the Branson Tri-State Invitational, July 9-10.

The two-day outdoor event featured 10 Tri-state teams and approximately 384 swimmers, including 15 from Nevada. Additionally, Neptunes swimmer Cody Leung, 10, won the High Point award after netting first place in the male 10-and-under division.
