The Nevada Lady Tigers placed sixth at the Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 1 District 4 golf tournament Monday at Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course in Nevada.

With Nevada playing host to the tournament for the first time, it was Greenwood who emerged as champion with a team score of 398. Purdy placed runner-up at 417, followed by Seneca at 424; Mt. Vernon, 427; Butler, 431; Nevada, 443; Bolivar, 466; and Stockton, 483. Clever and Pierce City only fielded three players, and thus, did not submit a qualifying team scorecard. Both Greenwood and Purdy qualified for the upcoming sectional tournament in Marshfield.

Greenwood's Meredith Sharp carded the tournament's low individual score at 85. Leading the way for Nevada was junior Mandy Crews, who fired a 96 on the par-72 course. Also for NHS, Lily Quitno concluded with a 110. Both Crews and Quitno picked up all-district accolades for finishing with a top 15 individual score (after the top two team scores were excluded).

Additionally for Nevada, Kaitlynn Vincent finished with a 116, Grace Palmer 121, and Brooke Sargent 123.
