Lady Hornets capture GVVC junior high tournament crown

Submitted photo The Hume Lady Hornets defeated the Bronaugh Lady Wildcats 19-14 in the Golden Valley Vernon County Conference junior high basketball tournament championship game, Friday night in Walker. Hume was led by eighth-grader Makinzi Harris, who scored a team-high 11 points. Hume's title run included victories over Sheldon, Ballard, and Bronaugh, as they improved to 11-1 overall.
