Tiger middle school wrestlers open season in Columbus

Nevada Middle School kicked off its wrestling season Saturday at the Columbus (Kan.) Wrestling Tournament. Nevada placed ninth out of 15 teams, as Octavian Bartlett was crowned the champion of Pool A, while both Lane Brookes and Bert Louvier were B-Pool champs for their respective weight classes. Additionally for Nevada, Brayden Wilson notched a second place finish in Pool A; with Brett Fairchild placing second in the B-Pool; while J.D. Downing finished third in the A-Pool.
