The Nevada Police Department executed a search warrant in the 900 block of North Colorado St. late Thursday evening. Officers had been obtaining information in regards to a possible wanted male subject being at the home and the distribution of narcotics taking place at the residence.

During the execution of the warrant, officers located three known subjects inside the residence. During the course of the investigation officers located suspected methamphetamines, and other drug related paraphernalia items at the scene.

The suspected methamphetamine will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol laboratory for further testing.

Officers were able to determine that the wanted suspect had been at the residence, but had left before Nevada Police officers arrived.

The investigation is on going and the results will be sent to the Vernon County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for the review and filing of formal charges. Once formal charges have been filed the release of names will be available to the public.
