The Nevada Lady Tiger 200-yard medley relay swim team capped off a phenomenal season in the pool at the Missouri State Swimming Championships Feb. 18 in St. Peters.

In the event, the Lady Tigers placed 30th out of 45 teams with a time of 1:57.54. Nevada's 200-yard medley relay team is comprised of Makayla Haner, Carlie McCaffree, Peyton Claypool, and Megan Hold.

Lady Tigers' swim coach Samantha Short said she couldn't have been more pleased with Nevada's season.

"Bringing home a third consecutive West Central Conference championship and taking a team to state was just unbelievable," Short said.

Short noted that the future is bright for Lady Tiger swimming.

"Looking ahead, we should only get stronger," she said. "We are losing some important seniors, so we will have to work hard over the summer and into next season.

"All of our state qualifiers are coming back except for our freestyle, and she will be tough to replace."
