Jerry Sue Gose
Jerry Sue Gose, 81, Sheldon, passed away on Monday, May 1, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin following a brief illness. Sue was born January 21, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Walter Harvey and Gertrude Augusta (Ferrell) Williams. On July 17, 1954, she was united in marriage to Charles E. Gose in Cheyenne, Wyo., and he survives of the home.
Sue grew up in Milo and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1954. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years in Nevada. Sue attended Community of Christ Church in Nevada. She enjoyed scrapbooking, quilting and card making. Following her retirement Sue enjoyed time spent traveling and for the past six years has been residing in Salome, Ariz.
In addition to her husband Charles, survivors include three children, Charles M. Gose, Hermitage, Mo., Curtis Gose and his wife, Kathy, Nevada, Susan Griffith and her husband, Scott, Springfield, Mo.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Jo Francis Benson, Georgia; one brother, Harry Williams and his wife, Kay, Independence, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Jerry Charlene Gose; one sister, Joy Taylor; and one daughter-in-law, Regina Gose.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, at Community of Christ Church in Nevada.
