Khara Rachelle (Allison) Julian
Khara Rachelle (Allison) Julian, age 34, of El Dorado Springs, went to be with her Lord on Saturday evening, May 13. Khara was born on April 19, 1983, in Nevada, to Greg and Cheri Allison. She was obedient to God’s word, putting Him on in baptism on April 16, 1995.
Khara married Jared Julian, her high school sweetheart, on Dec. 26, 2003. As a fitness buff, she enjoyed working at the YMCA, and as an avid reader. She loved her job at the Woodneath Public Library. But her life’s work and true vocation was being a stay-at-home mom to their three children, Jalen (14), Anders (12), and Lauren (9).
Khara was beloved. That word gets used so often that sometimes its meaning gets diluted, but there is no other word to describe the way people feel about her. She was an amazing mother, wholly devoted to her children. She was a wonderful partner and wife. As her parents’ first child and only daughter, she was a priceless gift. She was a friend you could always count on to laugh with you, talk with you, cry with you, and be brutally, refreshingly honest with you. She was a master knitter, and she loved to paint, draw and sketch. She was sweet, shy, irreverently funny, smart, kind and beautiful beyond measure — both inside and out. There are no words to describe how much she has been loved in her all-too-short life and how much she will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Preceding Khara in death was her brother, Nathan Allison; and her grandfather, Clarence Taylor.
Survivors include her husband, Jared; children, Jalen, Anders and Lauren; parents, Greg and Cheri Allison of El Dorado Springs; brother, A.J. Allison and wife, Cody, of Bolivar, Mo.; brother, Ian Allison, of Aviano, Italy; grandparents, Karl and Earline Allison, of El Dorado Springs; grandparents, Ray and Toni Yarnell, of El Dorado Springs; grandmother, Norma Taylor, of Stockton; aunts and uncles, including Rhonda and David Sibley, of El Dorado Springs, Davin and Lisa Allison of El Dorado Springs, Troy and Nikki Allison of El Dorado Springs, Sasha and John Queen of El Dorado Springs, Saree Allison of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Pamela Forest of El Dorado Springs, Sandi Bouchard of San Antonio, Texas, Terri and Shane Carver of Monte Vista, Colo., and Boie and Robyn Yarnell of Lakeland, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
“And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?
I did.
And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth.”
— “Late Fragment” by Raymond Carver
