The Bronuagh Lady Wildcats volleyball team was defeated by Pleasanton (Kan.) High School, in two sets in a Tuesday night road match.

Pleasanton won the first set 25-20 and then edged the Lady ’Cats in the second set 25-23.

“We played better tonight,” said Bronaugh head coach Daryl Dodson. “We just have to push through in the close games.”

For Bronuagh (1-2), senior Becca Raper tallied seven kills while junior Paige Wait chipped in 11 service points. “We had our chances in both games to win out,” said Dodson. “I was pleased with our play and effort.”

The Bronaugh junior varsity team was toppled by Pleasanton, 25-13 and 25-15.

Bronaugh next returns to the court for a home match Thursday, as the Lady ’Cats welcome in Miami for a Golden Valley Vernon County Conference match-up.
