Jacob Guy McNeely
Jacob Guy McNeely, 23, Nevada, passed away, Tuesday, Aug. 29.
Jacob was born Jan. 18, 1994 in Liberty, Mo., the son of Timothy Craig and Sharon Jeanette (Cramer) McNeely. He graduated from Lathrop High School in Lathrop, Mo., and enlisted in the United States Army. Jacob served his country as a combat medic at Ft. Stewart, Army Base in Georgia. He also participated in the training of West Point Cadets at West Point N.Y.
Jacob moved to Nevada a year ago and has worked for 3M Corporation since. He will be remembered as being very family oriented. He adored his nephew Cy and loved spending time with him. Jacob was very organized, he enjoyed cooking, eating, watching movies, and playing video games.
He is survived by his parents, Craig and Sharon McNeely, of Cowgill, Mo.; brother, Justin McNeely (Jaynee), Nevada; Brittany McNeely, Kansas City, Mo.; maternal grandparents, Roger and Pat Cramer, of Cowgill, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Maurice and Nancy McNeely, Pattonsburg, Mo.; nephew, Cy Xavier McNeely, Nevada; his military family at Ft. Stewart and special friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nevada with the Rev. Peter Savidge officiating. Jacob’s family will receive friends in the Ferry Funeral Home Chapel from 11:30–12:30 on Friday. Interment will be 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, at Cowgill Cemetery, Cowgill, Mo.
