The Nevada Lady Tigers have been near flawless, opening the season with a 7-1 record. The Lady Tigers latest volleyball victories came on Tuesday against Clinton, and Thursday against Smith-Cotton High School. Making it all the more impressive, is that both wins were West Central Conference road matches, as Nevada improves to 4-1 in WCC-play.

On Tuesday, the Lady Tigers dispatched Clinton in two sets — 25-23 and 25-20. Junior defensive specialist Hailey Jackson tallied 11 assists and a pair of aces, while sophomore Stacy Pennington recorded 13 digs and two aces. Junior middle hitter Adrian Bond chipped in five kills.

Meanwhile, the Lady Tigers junior varsity squad knocked off Clinton in straight sets — 25-18 and 25-17, while the NHS freshman team bested Clinton in three sets — (25-19), 25-10, and 15-7.

The Lady Tigers continued their WCC farewell road tour on Thursday, winning in three sets. Nevada dropped a close first set 25-23, but then rebounded to take the second set 25-22. Nevada dominated the decisive third set, winning going away, 25-16.
