Nevada takes two of three from Butler

The Nevada Lady Tiger middle school volleyball teams netted their first victories of the season Thursday night in Nevada, taking two of three matches from Butler.

The Lady Tigers eighth-grade A-team bested Butler in two sets — 25-18 and 25-21. The NMS eighth-grade B-team was edged in three sets — 25-14, (26-24), (15-7); while the NMS seventh-grade A-team dominated its two-set match, winning by scores of 25-15 and 25-10. The NMS seventh-grade B-team competed in an intra-squad scrimmage, with the Crimson team emerging victorious in two sets — 25-17 and 25-15.

The Nevada Middle School volleyball teams will be busy next week, hosting Joplin on Monday; then traveling east for matches with El Dorado Springs on Tuesday; followed by a Thursday Tri-County Conference road match-up with Neosho.
