Tiger eighth-graders hammer Carl Junction, 20-0
The Nevada Tiger eighth-grade A-football team steamrolled Carl Junction, 20-0, in a Thursday evening Tri-County Conference match-up. On the first play from scrimmage, Nevada's Eli Cheaney ripped off a 67-yard touchdown run, with the ensuing two-point conversion failing. The Tigers second touchdown came on a 17-yard Kartman Highley scamper, with the two-point conversion again coming up short. Nevada then increased its lead to 18-0, as Cheaney punched in his second touchdown of the night, this time from five yards out. The successful two-point conversion handed the Tigers a 20 point cushion. (Note: The eighth-grade B-team did not play).
