Lady Tigers secure top seed for CJ Classic
It’s No. 1 seeds all-around for Nevada High School basketball, as the Lady Tigers varsity and junior varsity teams have been awarded top overall seeds in their upcoming tournaments.
The Lady Tiger varsity team holds the No. 1 seed in the Carl Junction Classic, Nov. 27-30 at Carl Junction High School, while the Lady Tigers junior varsity squad netted the top seed for the Harrisonville Lady Wildcats JV Tournament, Nov. 27-29.
At the CJ Classic, No. 1 Nevada opens against No. 8 McDonald County, Nov. 27 at 4 p.m. Other opening round action features No. 2 Liberal vs. No. 7 Webb City (JV); No. 3 Carl Junction vs. No. 6 Seneca; and No. 4 Neosho vs. No. 5 Jasper.
The Harrison JV tournament opens with No. 1 Nevada facing off with No. 8 Lutheran at 4:30 in the main gym. Opening-round action continues into the evening. The semifinals are slated for Nov. 28, and the championship and consolations games, Nov. 29.
