Nevada High School upcoming sports calendar

Nevada High School sports events for the remainder of the week, include:

Thursday

• Tiger varsity basketball @ Kaminsky Classic, hosted by Joplin High School — first round-play vs. Francis Howell, 4:30 p.m.

• Tiger wrestling @ West Central Conference (pod No. 1) hosted by Warrensburg High School — weigh-ins 4 p.m., first matches scheduled for 5 p.m.

Friday

• Tiger varsity basketball @ Kaminsky Classic, second-round play, to be determined. If Nevada wins opening-round game on Thursday, Tigers advance to winners bracket, where they match-up with winner of Web City vs. Jefferson City at 7:30 p.m. Friday. If Tigers lose Thursday, they play in the consolation bracket at 4:30 p.m. Friday

• Lady Tiger basketball WCC tripleheader vs. Warrensburg @ NHS. C-team game scheduled to tip off at 4:30, followed by junior varsity game. The varsity contest is then scheduled to start between 7-7:30 p.m., depending on length of the C-team and JV games.

Saturday

• NHS boys varsity basketball @ Kaminsky Classic, TBD. Championship game scheduled for 3:30 p.m.; third-place game, 2; fifth-place game, 12:30; and seventh-place game, 11 a.m.

• NHS varsity wrestling @ Monett Invitational, 9 a.m.

• NHS junior varsity wrestling @ Seneca Tournament, 9 a.m.

• NHS varsity swimming @ COMO Invitational, held at Mizzou Aquatic Center in Columbia, Mo., 9:30 a.m.

• Nevada Middle School seventh-grade boys basketball @ Frontenac (Kan.) High School. NMS vs. Pittsburg Community School, 10 a.m.; NMS vs. Frontenac, 11
