In regards to the recent snowfall, councilperson Jayne Novak asked if the streets department had a set plan about which areas are treated first.

Public works department head Tom Hutchinson told the board they do have a map which lists priorities in the event of snow accumulation. Hutchinson said the crews concentrate primarily on intersections, then go on to other streets as needed. Hitting school areas, the Square and hospital and emergency services areas is a high priority for the department.
