Nevada High School standout student-athletes Calli Beshore and Clay Gayman were recently named to the 4-States Basketball Coaches Association All-Area teams.

Beshore, a lightning quick sophomore point guard, fueled the Lady Tiger basketball program to its first district championship and state tournament berth in a decade. Beshore was named to the girls’ second-team. For the recently completed season, in which Nevada finished 18-9 overall — Beshore tallied team-high in points per game (12.6) assists (4.5) and steals (2.7).

Gayman, a 6-foot-6 senior forward, averaged 22.5 points, 11 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game, and has signed a national letter-of-intent with NCAA Division I Abilene Christian University.

Gayman concluded his prep career as the Nevada boys’ all-time leader in points (1,976), rebounds (1,150), and blocks (355).

Meanwhile, the decorated Gayman was also tabbed as the 4-States Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Year. Additionally, Gayman has garnered back-to-back All-Area first-team selections.
