Clinton Oliver Stubblefield
Clinton Oliver Stubblefield, 81, Joplin, formerly of Horton, passed away on Sunday, June 17, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Clinton was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Horton to Winfred Arden and Nola Lee (Sumner) Stubblefield.
Clinton was raised in the Horton area and graduated from Metz High School in 1955. He served in the United State Army for two years, spending time in Vietnam. He attended college at Pittsburg State University obtaining his bachelor of science in nursing, and master of business arts degrees. In his younger years, Clinton worked on the family farm near Horton and then later worked as a nurse in the Joplin area for many years.
Survivors include three brothers, Winfred Stubblefield, Denham Springs, La., Vernon Stubblefield, Richards, and Ronald Stubblefield and his wife Ruth, Carrollton, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, at Rinehart Cemetery in Richards, with Pastor Kevin Moyer officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
