Flannel Fest a success despite rain

Despite the early morning downpour of rain Saturday, the first ever Flannel Fest was well-attended and saw tremendous community involvement as the weather improved. The Timberworks Lumber Jack Show was a hit at Flannel Fest. In addition to the Lumber Jack Show, attendees enjoyed music by EastSiders, a beard contest, as well as kid’s games and prizes and a kid’s inflatable forest. Declan Underwood, 3, (above) poses as Sasquatch during the Flannel Fest activities Saturday. Declan is the son of Elizabeth Cullison and Justin Underwood.
