Kody Levi Ellifrits
Kody Levi Ellifrits, 31, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, in Nevada, following an illness of several months. Kody was born June 24, 1987 in Kansas City, Mo., to Raymond and Angela (Jones) Ellifrits.
Kody was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 2005. Kody was active in ROTC Drill Team becoming Commander of his rifle team. Following high school Kody went into a career in healthcare receiving both CNA and CMT certificates. He worked for a time at the Eastmont Towers Care Facility in Lincoln, NE then lived and worked in the Tri-City area in Washington State before returning to Nevada in 2015. Kody attended Pine Street Baptist Church in Nevada. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family and “talking.” Kody was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors include his father, Raymond Ellifrits, Nevada; one daughter, Kaitlyn Ellifrits; siblings, Holly Hallam and her husband, Corey, Nevada, Amy Williams and her husband, Jeffrey, Nevada, James Stanhope, II, South Carolina, Beth Jenkins and her husband, Tex, Keenesburg, Colo., and his twin brother, Kory Ellifrits, Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend — his dog, Riley. He was preceded in death by his mother, Angi Ellifrits in August of 2018; nephew, Jacob Floyd; and uncle, Gary Drake.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with Pastor Chad Bailey officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.
