Danita Kay Bright

Danita Kay Bright, 59, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at her home in Nevada. Danita was born Dec. 27, 1959, in Knob Noster, Mo., to Billy Joel Evans Sr. and Janette Lee (Long) Evans.

Danita was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High Class of 1978. She attended nursing school at Fort Scott Community College and received her degree as a Registered Nurse. Following her school years she worked as an RN in various area hospitals including Nevada Regional Medical Center and Heartland Hospital.

Danita was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Klinksick. She is survived by four children, Darrick Crooks (Brooke) Columbia, Mo., Dakota Bright (Whitney) Kansas City, Mo., Darcy Bond, Nevada, and Darian Steele, Joplin, Mo.; three granddaughters, Baylor Crooks, Callan Crooks, and Laken Crooks; parents, Bill Sr. and Janette Evans, Nevada; sister, Barbara Bell (Gary) Clovis, N.M.; brother, Billy Evans Jr., Nevada; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Community Center in Nevada, Mo.
