Lady Tigers hit the pool at SWMO swim championships

SPRINGFIELD — After a week-long lay-off, the Nevada Lady Tiger swim team returned to the pool Friday for the Southwest Missouri (SWMO) swimming prelims, held at John H. Foster Natatorium.

Nevada had several student-athletes return to competition on Saturday, as the top 18 finishers in each event advanced to the SWMO finals.

The Lady Tigers finished with 55 team points, and tied with Joplin for 15th-place at the 25-school event. Host Glendale High School captured the team crown — while Kickapoo and Nixa rounded out the top three team finishers.
