Nevada High, middle school to host Class 1 District 5 hoops tournaments

Nevada High School and middle school are all set to host the Class 1 District 5 boys and girls basketball tournaments. Although, financial details were not disclosed to the Daily Mail, host-school Sheldon R-8, recently came to an agreement with Nevada R-5 to host the tournaments.

Action kicks off this evening, with two games each at the high school and middle school.

MONDAY — Girls' tournament

(2) Lockwood vs (7) Sheldon, Nevada Middle School, 6

(4) Bronaugh vs (5) Dadeville, Nevada High School, 7:30

(3) Exeter vs (6) Golden City, Nevada Middle School, 7:30

TUESDAY — Boys' tournament

(1) Golden City vs (8) Bronaugh, Nevada High School, 6

(2) Lockwood vs (7) Exeter, Nevada Middle School, 6

(4) Dadeville vs (5) McAuley Catholic, Nevada High School, 7:30

(3) Everton vs (6) Sheldon, Nevada Middle School, 7:30

WEDNESDAY — Girls' tournament

Semifinals: 6 and 7:30, Nevada Middle School

THURSDAY — Boys' tournament

Semifinals: 6, and 7:30, Nevada High School

Saturday

Girls' championship game, 6 p.m., followed by boys' title game (7:30) from Nevada High School Wynn Gymnasium
