Swearingen signs with Coffeyville

Nevada High School senior Carter Swearingen signed a letter-of-intent, on Wednesday, to become a member of the Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College golf program. As a sophomore, Swearingen was a member of Nevada’s juggernaut golf team that placed third at the Missouri Class 3 state championship tourney. Swearingen, who has compiled a number of top 10 finishes, qualified for the state tournament last season as a junior, and narrowly missed qualifying his senior campaign.
