Tigers’ tilt with Pittsburg cancelled, concluding regular-season

Due to heavy rainfall Wednesday, Nevada High’s regular-season baseball finale with non-conference foe Pittsburg (Kan.) High School was canceled.

The two schools explored the possibility of moving the game to Pittsburg, before eventually deciding on the cancelation.

After concluding their regular-season 3-18 overall, the Tigers have drawn the sixth seed in the Class 4 District 12 Tournament, hosted by Seneca.

In opening-round action Saturday, Nevada squares off with No. 3 Carl Junction (9-16).

First pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m.
