David Allen Keys

David Allen Keys, 63, passed away on May 20, 2019, at the home of his children were he lived for many years in Gardner, Kan. David was born April 9, 1956, in Nevada, Mo., to Lucretia Keys and Paul Keys.

Survivors include four childern, Michael Keys (Celina) of Gardner, Kan., David (DJ) Speagle Jr. of Moundville, Mo., Kiara Speagle of Venice, Fla., and Donald Speagle of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren include Natalie Luis, Julie Luis, and Kyee Findley; stepgrandson, Sam Findley; sister, Deborah Allen of Moundville, Mo.; and brother, Paul Keys III (Vicki) of Nevada, Mo. David was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and nephew, Donald Ragan.

David loved to play with his grand-pups and looked forward to spending time with them and helping with house training. David could be found sitting in his recliner watching his westerns, watching game shows, enjoying outings with his friends (Jennifer, Cheryl, and Cindy) especially shopping / eating out / casino, spending time phoning his friends or family, and giving people a hard time and joking around.

Celebration of Life will be held June 2, at the Elks Lodge, 510 N. Centennial Boulevard, Nevada, from 1 to 4 p.m. Please feel free to come bring a copy of picture to share for our memory wall and stories to tell. Food and drinks will be offered.
