Griffons’ home-opener slated for Sunday

The Nevada Griffons’ season-opener is set for today, a road contest with the Ozark Generals. Nevada returns to the diamond Sunday, as the Griffons are set to host the St. Joe Mustangs in their home-opener at Lyons Stadium.

First pitch for both contests is slated for 7 p.m.

Sunday is also Fan Appreciation Night, which includes free admission, with cookies and lemonade served throughout the contest. Other festivities Sunday include Church Night, as the church with the most amount of people in attendance will receive a $75 donation to their youth group.
